DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

So I got my GSX400 running yesterday but I have some odd electrical weirdness going on. I haven?t had time to look into them so full disclosure I have done no troubleshooting on these yet but I plan to. So here is the list of things. Let?s see if you guys can figure it out before I do.
- Front break switch working in reverse (IE break light Is on when the handle is not pulled in but turns off when I press the break (Rear is fine))
- Same issue with the clutch switch. Can?t start the bike with the clutch in but with the clutch open bike will start.
- Neutral light states on in 1st and 2nd gear although the light is not as bright as it is when in neutral .
I have installed all LEDS but everything worked before I took it apart. Additionally not all the connections on the headlight bucket and other parts are connected such as Turn signals ETC. The chain and clutch cable are also not on the bike

Switches were installed backwards had a chance to look at this early this morning.

Nuetral light weirdness still open.

The original neutral light - maybe 3 watts- maybe had same problem with slight current leak to 1 and 2 but it wasn't visible. Now with a LED, that small current leak could be enough to make LED sorta glow. Try cleaning the switch.

I agree too :)

Switch should be very easy to clean once you get under the sprocket cover, might be wise to buy a new O ring for it first in case you find it in less than pristine condition which is quite likely...

Well sprocket cover is open currently as i dont have a sprocet so should be easy to get into is there any point behind this switch?

If I remember correctly (it has been a while), there is a spring-loaded contact, but it won't fly very far if you remove it slowly. :o

Will take a boo. I bet that some of the soda from that blasting got in their.
