Near 50 yesterday, a rare clear blue sky day, calm, ..... but governor says I am suppose to stay home.
But the Order does allow for "outdoor activitys".

Went for a short ride to a park on the river and a bayou.
Walked around looking for evidence of spring.

Was good to get out for a ride, and good to get out away from the house.
(StayAtHome order this week, but I pretty much didnt go anywhere last week either.)

It is wild how dry it looks there only days after there was snow. I'm glad you got out, Redman! Motorcycling makes a difference to one's mental health!

My son and I went for a ride yesterday. It was 61 degrees and sunny. Absolutely beautiful day! Sorry, didn't get any pics.

I'm curious, and I'm sorry if someone has asked this question, Indiana has a "shelter in place" order and I'm wondering if we are even allowed to go for a ride on a motorcycle or are you only allowed to be on the roads for essential work or essential errands? I don't see the harm in going for a motorcycle ride because it maintains the social distancing concept, but I do understand if they don't want unnecessary travel on the roads to cut down on first responder incidents or hospital requirements due to accidents etc. What are your thoughts on this? I can't seem to find in writing anywhere that motorcycle rides aren't allowed specifically in Indiana.

            Taken from this article: https://time.com/5806477/what-is-shelter-in-place/

"All travel is prohibited — including walking or biking places, taking a car, scooter, or motorcycle on the road, or using public transit — unless classified as “essential.” Anyone who has a job that is not considered “essential” should work from home."

I think these rules are specific to the SF Bay area but I don't know if the rules are the same here in Indiana.

We (in Vermont) are allowed to be outside for exercise reasons as long a we self isolate. I think a MC is totally fine, I grabbed 100 miles yesterday on the TUX. Planning to grab a few hundred more today. Working from home eats up allot of time.

Yes, those are probably specific rules for certain areas.

But rules that everyone should be voluntarily following for the greater good. This is no time for selfish exploits.

Can't be much more self isolating than this. It fits into our "stay at home" order, recreation and isolation

I mentioned similar above for Michigan.
Different states word the order differently. Some specifically name it as not allowed. So that discussion would be somewhat different for each state.

Is being discussed in other threads.

I suggest we have this thread for who did go for ride. (else gets political real quick)

Getting out on a bike necessarily involves social distancing.

We get that...the point is not participating in risky behaviour ...wipe out and you need the hospital...no one want that. I rode yesterday by myself just in my hood.
