Had to buy carbs and use the best parts out of the 2 sets to make one good rack. I have the stock seat foam cut down and am deciding on recovering it or using the cafe seat pictured. going to remount the tach soon. Very minimal wiring. Had to replace the stator and regulator. It keeps improving. Next is welding Bub Mufflers off a moto guzzi inplace of the stock rusted cans. It might get Ducati Monster forks and 17" wheels and pirelli tires front and rear just because I have those parts laying about.

What can you tell us about the spam cans and did you have to, I assume, re-jet with them?

Hi from Vancouver, beautiful British Columbia, Canada!

Here's my baby. She's all stock except for superbike bars, grips, bar-end mirrors and newly covered shaved-down stock seat. All required maintnenance completed and she's running fantastic! Looking to upgrade the suspension next and eventually get a paint job over the winter.

Hers my 1981 GS650L. Untouched and intact. Really good condition when I found her other than 2 dead cylinders. Started the molestation. Seat/shocks/bars/grips/mirrors/air pods/jets so far. Blacking out what I can. Have a cdi box on its way and hopefully get her bangin' on all 4.

My 1982 GS850GL when I first brought her home:

                  1980 GS1000GT (Daily rider with a 1983 1100G engine)
1998 Honda ST1100 (Daily long distance rider)
1982 GS850GLZ (Daily rider when the weather is crap)

Darn, with so many daily riders it's hard to decide which one to jump on next.

I dig the front pegs. Where did you get the, and are they a direct bolt on?

They were from my chopper. They bolted right on but I added a 1/8 shim at the back because it was short against the bracket and would sit too far towards the ground. I think any Harley peg would work.

Nice bikes! To "L" with anyone who says differently.

I did not expect this type of verbal harshness or ribbing on such a fine forum.
