I haven`t been on for quite sometime. I am on my computer lots, mostly to play my games. Must admit though that I haven`t been playing my games much either lately, due to stress from a family illness.

I am very sad to say that things with my family situation are not going to get better any time soon. My Dad was diagnosed with lung cancer several weeks ago and is not doing well at all. They also found it in his right shoulder. This was all discovered when he went to the doctor with a terrible cough, he was also coughing up blood as well. They sent him last week for five radiation treatments which has made him really sick, now he can`t eat solid food. The prognoses is not that great, least amount of time is three months. The worst part about this whole situation is that I haven`t seen him since he got sick. Every time I phone my Mom to let her know I want to go over which is basically every day she has said no. At this rate I don`t think that I will see him again. All of this has me very upset, don`t know why my Mom is doing this. When all is said and done there is nothing I can do about what she is doing, so I just have to suffer through it.

A harrowing situation, I'm sorry to hear of it. Don't even get me started on mothers and their inscrutable behavior. My prayers go with you.

Best wishes and prayers sent. Maybe mom just doesn't want you to see the condition he is in or something..... Everything is in God's hands... Please try not to be upset. It will only make you sick.
Do you know what disease is? DIS - EASE !!! SO TAKE IT EASY ON YOURSELF... Please. You are much needed in your own family now. You, actually are the center of your family. Everything revolves around what you do.
So try and be thankful for what you have. If it were me, though, I'd probably do a pop-in visit... I am always getting in trouble though, so don't take any of my advise. However, You ARE loved here, and so is dad.
We will be praying for him, and your family. Lift your chin and soldier on Sweet One.....

Well Hello there Growler... (that name fits me also...LOL) Sorry I missed your introduction, (did I?) but all the ladies are very glad you are here, and as for me... especially, I am so very glad you checked in!!
I probably wouldn't have even known you were on site with us. I will be much more attentive now that I know. Is everything all right in your world? All of us (men included) can be quite supportive here.
Thank you soooooo much for letting us know you are here. I may have run across you before, just have forgotten your name. Don't get old... I even take ginko (sp) biloba for my brain. Perhaps I should up my dosage...

Thanks for the well wishes. I have been thinking that my Mom may not want me to see him the way he is, however I need to make the most of the time he has left. That is the most important thing to me now. She did phone me today and said to go to their house tomorrow to visit him, I am definitely going. Friday the Red Cross is delivering all the equipment they need to borrow for her to look after my Dad at home, hospital bed ca mode, etc. My Dad goes to see the chemo specialist on March 24th. I am truly hoping that they are going to give him the chemo to try and kill the tumors he has. I have to admit that I am not ready to say good bye to my Dad yet. That may sound selfish on my part but I don't care. Please pray for him.

Hello, checking in as requested. Just joined last fall when I bought my first bike a 82 GS550L.

Mrs Sooke, I am sorry to hear about your dad. My I recently lost an aunt from breast cancer and have another fighting cancer for the 3rd time. Your father will be in my prayers.
