      Good choice. Welcome.

      W've owned a number of Vanagon (T3) Westfalia conversions, including a 4WD. I thought it was funny how the T3 was built in Germany, then shipper to Austria to Styer Damiler Puch for the Synchro 4WD conversion, then back to Germany for the Westfalia conversion. They were well traveled before they were sold. I keep an '84 Westfalia in Maine, USA and one in California, USA for use when I visit there. I know that in Europe and South Africa a lot more options were out there.
