It's a newer style driver. I have an old Vessel impact driver; bought it in 1980-81. Still have it and it still works as well as it did when it was brand new. They are tanks and worth every penny.

Heh; not only spam, but spam of the wrong item. You're priceless.

Used my Impacta driver for the first time here recently and it worked a treat on carb screws, like the ones on the gang bars. The Impacta doesn't strike me as being robust in the way a real impact driver is, where you can whack it with a small sledge. Decently useful tool though.

I'm waiting for an Impacta or a tang-through to arrive for a stubborn fuel drain screw I don't want to compound the Philips-induced damage on wrought by a PO. With some luck and heat it may loosen. Sod's Law dictates it's the most awkward bowl to remove, else it would have been off by now.

Just got one of these, direct from the Land of Nippon; it's lovely, so it is.
No more screwed-up screwheads on Jap bikes.

I'm adding some more to the collection as time goes on. For five bucks postage from the other side of the planet, why wouldn't I?

The tang through #2 is useful as you can put the tip into the slotted head and tap it to help loosen a stuck screw. The #2 impact driver is pretty useless as it doesn't seem to work as well as the #3 (for case screws) but a regular SAE impact driver will work better as it has more turn and torque anyway.
