    81 GS850G gasket set from ebay

    Has anyone ever ordered an OEM Suzuki gasket set? If so is there a list somewhere of all gaskets, o rings etc. the set has? I picked one up from an ebay seller, part number 11401-45825, and some are missing from what was supposed to be a complete set. Haven't had time to go through the parts diagrams page by page to compile a list. If you like solving puzzles I'll post a pic of the whole set. I know I'm missing copper washers, starter cover gasket, oval shaped o rings and a gasket is bent on the corner. This was an experienced seller with over 13K and only one negative comment so I took a chance using them. I haven't contacted them yet since I want to compile a detailed list first. I'll post a pic of the bent gasket to see if you guys think it may be usable.

    That tweaking of the corner shouldn't be a problem as long as the seal in the corner is intact.

    The copper washers go under the head nuts. As long as your old ones are in decent shape you can get away with reusing those.

      Agreed -- that corner on the head gasket honestly shouldn't hurt anything.

      The starter cover doesn't need a gasket -- I've never been able to figure out why in the world it's in there, and I've never bothered to install one.

      There's at least one of the corner "pear" shaped o-rings in the photo at the lower left.

      You can re-use the copper washers. You could anneal them if you're worried they won't seal.

        The copper washers need to seal where the engine studs contain oil journals to bring oil up to the cam shafts. If you are ever missing some of those, before re-using the old copper washers, anneal them so they will regain their ability to crush a bit. To anneal, use a PROPANE torch (not MAP) and heat the copper washers till they glow and then put them in cold water. This restores their ability to seal. If you re-use them after they have been torqued without annealing they may leak some. The other studs don't really need copper washers and plain zinc plated steel washers will work just fine.
