Ever listen to an old ditty by the name of "D'yer Mak'er?"

Great songs don't all need deep lyrics.

I ran across this one. It is Joe Walsh live performing "Turn to Stone"

That's a fantastic tune. I've always liked Walsh's stuff, and that's one of his absolute best.

Never was a huge Van Morrison fan, but I heard this yesterday and dug it. Apparently he did an album of blues covers.

Went to visit my dad yesterday and was taken back by the music he was playing. Here's a tune I've loved since I was knee high to a road runner.

Roger, my dad was a big Marty Robbins fan, and, really, a fan of all things western, having lived in Brownsville, Texas the first two years he was in this country. I inherited a love of both Robbins and the West. I love visiting historic places in the Southwest, love westerns, and still love the sound of Robbins' voice.

I loved the stories in his songs and how the melody just danced in my head.
