        Looking good, nice welds!
1978 Gs1085 compliments of Popy Yosh, Bandit 1200 wheels and front end, VM33 Smoothbores, Yosh exhaust, braced frame, ported polished head
1983 Gs1100ESD, rebuild finished! Body paintwork happening winter 2017

I would rather trust my bike to a technician that reads the service manual than some backyardigan that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix things.

What model are the intake filters, and where did you get them?

          Nice looking progress.

Hey Yozzer, I'm doing a scrambler build on a 81 gs550 as well. Not sure if you found any rear shocks yet but I bought some 340mm piggy back shocks on eBay. They are a cheaper brand but my buddy runs them on his bikes and they do really well. Also I was wondering what your spoke wheels came off of? I'd like to switch from the mags also

In a nutshell, the extra power of the 650 (don't recall the exact hp increase, 49 to 70ish?, but it's significant) with the benefit of a 6-speed box.
