SVSooke
If you are "knee challenged" these really aren't a good bike. The leg angle is the same as my SV650S. I'm fortunate it doesn't bother me much but will say mt 78 1000 is more comfortable.

New Paint!
Did so much riding on the 850 this past season that this old girl got no attention. At least that's a good reason to be slack.
Got some base coat down on all the parts today. I have a vinyl cutter at work, so I've made up all of my masking for the black and also the decals. That should happen by this weekend if the weather cooperates.

You have the most legit reason for lack of progress.
Glad to see things moving forward.sigpic

All clear!
All wrapped up like a turkey to shoot the black.
Got some dust of course, but I like it.
All the other parts are hanging in the garage. I'll take more pics after everything is dry.Last edited by jsandidge; 01-06-2019, 05:06 PM.

Re-assembly begins!
I've got the paintwork all sanded and buffed now. It still needs the final polish and later some wax. The color is a little different from the original. It has a metallic component that the original didn't have (from what I remember). But, I really like the color.
Just look at the reflection in the black!
There's the 850 in the background. The tail section and front cowl are done too. I'll probably re-assemble them next weekend.
I couldn't find a decal set anywhere, so I had to make these.

Body work done!
I took advantage of a dreary day yesterday and finished re-assembling the body work. All I have left to do is to re-spray the motor and header pipes. Then, I'll re-install the carbs and exhaust, mount the new tires, and ride.
