    Brake line replacement

Hi, I have a 1978 gs750e which appears to have the stock brake lines and I would like to replace them, but I don't know how brake lines size, like I do not know if they have different sizes in girth (I can find out length pretty easily). Basically I am hoping to just plug n' play, but that hasn't been the case recently.

Do they fit differently with different banjo bolts and brake master cylinders etc, or no?

I'm hoping to replace the stock front brake master cylinder with a new (preferably gs) front brake.

You can source all the parts separately and make your own, but I would recommend you buy the lines made up as a kit (which you can do) I am in the uk I am sure someone will come along and recommend a supplier in the USA Z1 enterprises seem to be very popular.

When I visited SoCal a couple years ago, I was looking for a clutch cable (because the one on my bike broke) at a motorcycle parts store. I asked the attendant where I could find replacement brake line...They suggested a local business shop and to bring the original brake line. BAM! It costs me less than $20 and now I have a braided line.

my opinion shouldn't be taken as gospel or in any way that would lead you to believe otherwise (30Sep2021)
