I have a paint tin from my original scan on my 78 1000C. I think it has some info on the label. I will take pics and post it for you. Any paint supply house should be able to put it in rattle cans for you.

These people make rattle-can automotive-quality paint for more recent bikes, and you might consider the 1997 and upward Bandit colour.

The paints are three-coat finishes, base, colour, and then the clear coat.

If you have never done rattle=can painting on motorcycles, please be aware that most of them are HIGHLY prone to damage or even destruction from gasoline spills.

Because of this you should use automotive clear coat as a final finish. If using different paint brands, speak directly to the dealer to address compatibility concerns.

According to my paint guy, you can use 2k clear coat over most regular paint. 2k is great for gas resistance.

Just a quick mod to my existing 1000C - converting to twin rotor and thought I'd put a different fender on while I was there

              there are "plans afoot" ....

              1. I was hoping to buy a members katana just before Christmas, however, a big bill for car transmission delayed things.

              2. I have enough spares to build something Suzuki (just need a frame)

              1127 motor and loom
              2 front ends
              2 swing arms
              3 sets of wheels
              1 complete body kit
              etc etc etc

i'm thinking late 70's super bike/race bike look

So far I have found that to be true. I painted my 900F with Duplicolor paint and 2K clear. I've already spilled gas on it, and it doesn't do anything to it.

You have been around for several months. Certainly you have seen us beg several times for members to please generate a signature that mentions your bike?

Does not have to be fancy, like some of us have, just something simple, like "Current bike: '78 GS1000C".
