    Contemplating buying a GS1100E

Years ago I owned a GS1000E, GS1100G and a GS1100ES. All were great bikes and I wish I'd kept them all.

I'm contemplating buying a GS1100E for fun but have concerns about taking care of it. Can you still get the maintenance parts for it? Like brake pads, discs, chain and sprockets, tires, tubes, etc?

Go for it! General parts are still readily available. Certain body parts and bits of that nature can be tough at times, but otherwise I've had no issue. Much is still available from Suzuki, thought it needs to be ordered.

When consulting the magic 8 ball for advice, one must first ask it "will your answers be accurate?"

What about paint colors? Does anyone supply the original Suzuki 83 red?

No, but there is a colour match and somebody on this site knows what it is (there was a thread on it not long ago).

It was Chrysler Poppy Red. Search for that should get you a paint code.
