78 GS 1000 front master cylinder

I'll spare you the saga of my front MC, but now I'm ready to reinstall the original back on my bike
However, I've had it apart for so long that I'm confused about reassembly. My memory is that you load it in this order

Spring, cup, disc, plunger, circlip, boot

So, I checked the service manual for a picture, only an indistinct sketch. The service manual implies the order is

    Cup, spring, disc, plunger,circlip, boot

    So, which way is correct?

I'd really like some good braking this year. Especially since getting that circlip down in the lower groove is a bitch

    1981 GPZ 550 (backroad screamer)
    1970 450 Mk IIID (THUMP!)
