    The tank emblem looks something like one from Bennelli. Rebadged for Sears?

        This bike is labelled as a 1961 Puch 250cc. Some details are the same as in Chucks', others not, and yes it looks Puchy.

              Sears used a few manufacturers under the " Allstate " brand and Puch was one of them. Below is a picture of 1965 Sears Allstate Puch........

                  This Puch which I really dig had the same engine.

                    Guys, is it standard fare for there to be only the one mirror????

                      I think the minimum legal requirement is for one mirror on the left.

                        LOL...sure...post a friends cycle up here for sale, then say "actually, I want it".

                        All kidding aside, there's two things to note about this cycle-
                        A} "Sears" never made anything with it's name on it {kenmore too}...except for maybe for craftsman, and we all know how that just recently changed. {ugh}
                        B} she's kind of got a unique charm to her...screams old school/one of a kind.
                        C} ...how on earth would ya "cafe" that?!

                        {btw- you ever fix that tank cap seal?}

                            Cap- {Remind me to snap a pic of my old one....if it's better than yours you can just pay the cost of shipping...if you'd want it}

                            As for the cycle - I'd say buy it {a tad cheaper would be better though}, but like any other two stroke out there, your main worry is crank seals being good...sitting or not. A leak down test would help to know the up front condition, but even if she's ok now, they can go bad from use and burn the cylinder{s} down - found that out the hard way on my old ski-doo T'NT.
                            Add- is that a premix or injected bike? {I'd lean towards the 1st of the two, at a guess}.
