    New build jetting questions

Okay folks, built a 77 gs750 w/844cc kit, mildly ported head webcam #110 has a. 395 lift, dyna 3 ignition with dyna coils, header. I have a set of 26 mm carbs from a kz1000 for it so question is anyone have any idea where to start with the jetting, pilots? Main? Needle position etc. Thanks for any help you can provide

Sounds like you have the basic parts for an 850 with a cam. Start with the jetting for an 850, then add a couple sizes for the header.

I am going to presume that with this build, you are not going to use the stock airbox, so add a few more sizes for the pods.

Pilot jets should be stock (for an 850), I might try raising the needle one or two notches. Note that to raise the needle, you lower the clip.

Are you running an airbox ? Pods or open carbs ?

        I've used Z1 carbs on a Z650/750 conversion - but open bellmouths.
If what I did is of use to you, I can hunt out the jetting info.

Compression ratio will not change how much air it breathes, only how tight it squeezes it.
