    Was somebody looking for a KZ1000?

    I met a guy at work yesterday who has a friend that stores a bike in his barn. Comes over every once in a while to clean and polish it, then takes it out for a ride a few times every summer. He has finally decided it might be time to sell it.

    I have not talked to the owner yet, have not gotten any pictures or prices, was just wondering if anyone here has any interest in a '78 KZ1000.

      I will probably see him again in the next few days (he is a contractor there, so not on-site every day) and see if he has any information for me.

        I think if a nice 1980 KZ1000 MKII showed up, I'd be scheming to somehow come up with the dough.


        1982 GS1100 G converted by Motorcyclist magazine in 1986 to be a tribute to the Wes Cooley replica. 1982 Honda 900F. 1997 Yamaha VMax.
        Also owned: 1973 Kawasaki Z1 900, 1972 Honda 750 K, 1976 Yamaha XS 650, 1980 Kawasaki KZ 1000 MKII, 1978 Kawasaki SR 650. Current cage is a 2001 Mustang Bullitt in Dark Highland Green. Bought new in Sept. 2001.

          All that I know about this one, so far, is that it's a '78 and runs at least a few times each summer.

            If I could only find a 1982 KZ1000 J.
