    Sump plug (oil pan) is the same thread as a spark plug

    Get you home wheeze, lost your sump plug. I did last night...

    spark plugs are are the same thread as the sump plug.

    now lockwired the sump plug and the filler cap.

    There is no need to lockwire. Just replace the crush gasket from time to time. It provides cushion and keeps the plug from backing out.

      I thought that way too, until the sump plug came out last night. Never had that happen before. Won't happen again now!
