Awesome, I ordered it. Does anyone have a wiring diagram? I am not sure which terminal is positive and which one is negative on the sh775

There are two connectors. One has three terminals, the other has two. The one with three terminals is the input from the stator. Connect the three stator wires directly to the three inputs to the R/R, do not connect to the wires the disappear into the wiring harness. Yes, you can extend the wires as necessary to reach the R/R, but the electrical path should be direct from stator to R/R. In the connector with two terminals, the one closest to the stator inputs is your positive output. The termain farthest away is your ground.

So to confirm, with the triumph wiring harness the brown wire is positive and black is negative?

That was written 2 years ago. From what I've learned, the Polaris unit comes marked with SH775BA. The SeaDoo units are marked with SH775AA.

Stupid question about the SH775. The one I purchased is kind of faded and dirty. Would a coat of black spray paint hurt it? How hot does it typically get? If everything else looks new I want it to look new too.

That's how you know it's the real deal. Seriously, just scrub the grime off with something mild. Who's going to see it?

I've been looking for a couple good examples of these to save for future use, since the price on them is going up up up. Seems to be better prices on the SeaDoo versions, multiple going for $30ish w/best offer, so could probably get them down under $30 fairly easily.

SeaDoo used FHXXX type R/R's before switching to SH775. They look the same but aren't. Don't assume based on shape. Most of those cheap R/R's you see are not series type.
