    C/L 1971 Honda cb450 - $1400 (Fort collins CO)

    Looks like this a good Honda CB450 located here in CO. I always liked these . . .

    1979 GS1000E (44 Yrs), 1981 GPz550
    Departed: 1970 Yamaha R5A, 1971 R5B, 1975 Honda XL250, 1983 Suzuki PE175, 1983 CB1100F, 1983 BMW R100RS, 1992 ST1100

          Ummm, it says 70,000 miles.
          80 gs1100 16-v ported & polished, 1 mm oversize intake valves, 1150 carbs w/Dynojet stage 3, plus Bandit/gsxr upgrades

            Those are getting very hard to find however the ad is two months old. Odd.

                  I don't remember anything about these bikes that would be appealing, but it is a 46 yr. old Honda

                    I always thought that that model was extremely good looking.

                    Drixton actually had a lot of success with that engine road racing. You can google it.

                    My 7th grade English Teacher raced one with success at Ascot Park, in CA in the 60s. I was so surprised to see an article on it in one of the cycle magazines around that time. You go, Mr. Peterson!

                    The torsion bar valve springs make it difficult to change valve springs, also, a 180 degree crank provides a sound I don't prefer, along with a rocking couple vibration I really don't like.
