    GS750 EX on road

After 6 years, the GS750 TSCC went on the road today. About 12 mile maiden voyage.

The good news- shifting, idling, steering OK. Front brake good after installing new steel braid lines.

Bad news- rear brake pedal low, running on 3 cylinders at times, odometer and trip odometer inoperative (speedometer and tach work fine). Cranks slowly when warmed up, cranks well cold.

Time to search forum for answers. Any here will be appreciated.

    Thank you

Congrats on the first ride. No pics?

My odometer also doesn't work on my 1100E, never has since I bought it in 2004. Speedo works fine, same as yours. I fixed both by adding a Trail Tech Vapor computer. Does your rear pedal come up if you pump the brakes a bit? Not sure on the slow cranking, but compression increases on a warm engine and electrical resistance goes up on warm wires, so that may be your issue.

Found a broken ground cable from battery to engine case, previous bad repair. Installed a 4 gauge ground cable. Overkill, but problem solved.

Many years ago, I learned what was called "the drag racer philosophy":

If some is good, more is better, and too much is enough.
