    GS1100GK Petcock advise

Should I rebuild my petcock with OEM parts or aftermarket parts or buy a new OEM or aftermarket petcock. I keep seeing these k&l petcocks on ebay for under $50 bucks. Which way should I go. She started sputtering on me a while back, so I'm going to pull the tank and clean it as well as pull the carbs and clean them (bought new orings) and I'm even dropping the big bucks and buying new intake pipes and orings so I'm trying to save a buck when I can.

Best 'no problem path' to take is buy a new OEM petcock. Failure rate for rebuilt petcocks around here is about 70% if not higher. Probably about the same for some of the aftermarket petcocks unless you're talking about Pingels or the such which are high quality.
