Changing petcock - fuel line size confusion

Good day to all:

I am in the process of changing out my fuel petcock on my 1980 GS1100 and i also ordered what I think is the fuel line from bike bandit.
It came today, but does not look thick like I normally see fuel line.
Is the OEM line thin and flexible ?
It looks like the previous owner had used 5/16" fuel line and it appears to be loose.
This is the hose and part number from Bike Bandit:

HOSE,7X10,2X200

from what I've been reading on here, the 7 is in mm so in standard size that equals .2756 inches.

so could I just get 1/4" fuel hose from the auto parts store ?

i had to take the carbs off just to get to this fuel line, so I want to put the appropriate one back on ...

The fuel line on my 80 1100 is really thin also. really dont like the thinness of it. Let me know what you find out cause i would love to change mine out also.I'm also going to be needing a new petcock. is yours the one that takes a screw driver to turn it on and off?

I went with the OEM petcock from Bike Bandit. It is the one that you use a small screwdriver to move it to prime the carbs, after that, you turn it back and it stays on (vacuum actuated).
I just read that 9/32" is about the right size so I may get that. But if the stuff I got from OEM is right I will use it.

I've read several times here that OEM is the way to go with fuel lines and the tubes in general on the top of the engine. Suzuki supplies you with twice as much as you need, so you're good for the NEXT time you need to replace it (or give it to a friend).

The 7X10.2X240 translates to 7MM ID, 10.2MM OD, 240MM Length. Dealing with the fatter hoses is a pain and because the larger hose ID is loose you need to use hoses clamps which are hard to tighten on the carb end. Sometimes it's just best to use the right stuff. Sounds like that's what you got.
