Thanks for the input. Shims and related tools are my next purchase. (Need to save cash up again.)

Check out the Shim Club in the GS Services section of the forum. A lot easier and cheaper to work with.

Which reminds me, I need to put some in the mail back to Ray

Apperciate the heads up, (if you will). I spoke with Ray to see what the ins & outs were.

I have not been able work on the bike because I've been laid out with Pneumonia. Maybe this weekend ....

No workie on the bikie for Scrumie. This makes me an unhappy camper!

So while I was healing from the pneumonia, my pop's had complications from his back surgery he had in late Jan. So I had to go visit him for a while. And just a bunch of other crap life handed me on a fake silver platter.
Although, I am hoping to maybe get some time this coming Sunday. Wish me luck!

Here is what I have done so far, as soaking is concerned.

This is a picture of some of the stuff that came out of the carbs ...

BTW - picking more Berryman's today. So the whole thing can be covered.

It's been a while since I did anything with the bike. Work and family crap has really put a damper on my bike working time.

So today I decided to replace all the rubber gaskets and I ran into this ... (What's wrong?)

Here is a better look. (Now do you know what is wrong?)

Think that may cause the carbs/bike to run rough?!

So far that was the only part that is FUBAR'D. Will try to do more work tonight.

So I ordered the replacement Pilot Fuel Screw on Friday and it arrived today ... Pretty Cool! THANX Z-1 Industries! Not so cool, is getting a call from one of my 7 older brothers that another of our brothers had to have emergency heart surgery today. (I am one of 10.) What an effing way to take the wind out of my sails. With everything else that has happened this year ...

Work on the bike has been at a stand still for the last month or so. I'm working 60+ hrs a week. I've hand a bunch more of family stuff to deal with. So my therapy on 2 wheels, has been neglected. That said ... Carbs have been rebuilt, I just need to put them back in. I am hoping to have her at least running by the end of June.

                        For those that care ...

I am still working 60+ hrs a week, then you add in up keep on an 80+ year old house (because of summer I can do more work outside) and yard work, dealing with the BS of my 82 yr old father & his crazy 80 year old wife. You can guess my life is hectic. That and ...

I suck as a GS owner! I have not touched her since my last post.

I swear I will do some work in the next month. Please do not revoke my GS ownership.

Hey you are good. We all go through times when the bike just sits and sits for lack of money or time. Don't sweat it and don't worry, we won't think any worse of you.

Course, now if you don't post pictures of your work then we'll break out the tar and feathers.
