DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Someone else might say they require some weed-n-feed.

Trillium is a substance (probably mineral) that is regularly being traded in the 23rd and 24th century.
In 2267, Spock posed as a trader of kevas and trillium while on Organia. (TOS: "Errand of Mercy")
Later, in 2373, Arne Darvin made the same claim while aboard the USS Defiant. (DS9: "Trials and Tribble-ations")
In the novelization of "Errand of Mercy" in Star Trek 2,

Wow.
So, Just how much of a fan do you have to be to have know that?

In current day, current planet, it is a wildflower that is kinda fragile and is dissappearing. If deer eat the flower (or someone picks it) it is likely not to flower the next year nor propagate. Use to be quite common along inner-dune woods areas or nearby woodlands.

Okay, back to normal conversations.
Do you Want to know ALL the differences between 1100G and 1100GK....?

Yesterday afternoon....front steps........r
Good action shots har har

Got for a biKe yesterday and found, guess what, Crocuses. Ok no more Crocus shot from me. LOL.
.....
I imagine you can come up with more shots. And will be impressive.

Grabbed a Canon FD 35-70 f/3.5-4.5 Macro this morning as the sun came up.
Not a particularly sharp lens, but I love the colors it gave me.
.
Certainly are impressive color, some subtle, some dramatic.

Okay, Okay...... I need a real macro lens.

Just found and ordered a FD 50mm/3.5 macro. (already have the adapter).

(Also found a 35-200 macro zoom for real cheap, was listed as a 62mm lens by some estate sale place (62mm is diameter).

Just for you Dave, I went out this morning with my FD 50mm f/3.5 macro....Did fairly well...most at f/5.6
.
.

Nice, especially in full sun like that. Thanks for the demonstration.
I assume was a demonstration, not a challenge har har har.
If was a challenge, and I can no longer blame it on the lens/equipment . . . Well, I could say you have better flowers to work with. Yah, thats it!

. . . . . .. . . . here's a 3x30 stack
.
Very impressive.

I have some understanding of 30 stack. But I dont understand 3x30 stack. Does that mean at 3 exposures and 30 focuses?

Sorry. I kind of left out what the numbers mean. The 3 refers to what they call the focus differential which you probably already know is the DOF available on each exposure (range is 1 to 10) and the 30 is the numbers of exposures (range is up to 999). In this case with these settings over the 30 frames I ended up with about 2 inches in focus when finished.
