This is my 1985 Suzuki GS1150E. I am the original owner of this bike. I bought her new in April, 1989 from my local Suzuki dealership. Yes, 1989. The story I was told is Suzuki Japan found a bunch of 1985 bikes that never made it to the showroom floor. My local dealership acquired two of the 1150’s, one blue and white 1150E and one red and white 1150ES.

 

Luckily, I was there the day they uncrated the bikes and put them on the showroom floor for sale. I immediately fell in love and bought the gorgeous blue and white one. So although she is a 1985 model, she didn’t breathe life until 1989. I rode the bike for a few years, and then with moving around a lot and job changes and marriage and kids, the bike was stored (properly) until February, 2004.

 

Once out of storage and into my garage, I completely went through the bike and got her back on the road. New tires, battery, fork seals, carbs rebuilt, etc. and a meticulous detail job, and she was looking and running better than new! She turns a lot of heads and gets compliments wherever I go. I hope you enjoy looking at her as much as I enjoy riding her!
