Hi Mark,
I
would like to submit my much loved Nitrous Suzuki GS1000E for the bike
of the month.
My name is Dave Welton and I come from
Scunthorpe in the United Kingdom. I have met some great friends from all
over the world here on the friendly GSR forum.
I bought my much loved 1979 model GS1000E
in 1983 and I am the proud owner to this day.
When I purchased the bike it was
completely standard apart from a black 4 into 1 Harris exhaust. Since
those early days many a wage packet has been used to get it to the
condition it is today. The engine has had a 1085cc wiseco conversion
together with a billet clutch and a 50bhp nitrous oxide kit is fitted
for the ultimate in acceleration. My fingers are worn down to the bone
with polishing but it is worth it. Having rode many modern superbikes
nothing gives me more of a grin factor than riding the big GS.
Thanks for this great GS site
Regards,
Dave Welton |
