hi mark,
these are a
couple of pics of my 1978 gs1000E which you should consider for your
shot of the month. i bought this bike for $200.00 about ten years ago
and put it in the shed corner as there were too many other things to do.
after being convinced by mates to do something with 1100 yoshi pistons &
cams that i had lying around i set to and built this baby. i have three
other gs,s in the shed ,so i knew what i neede to do -- fix the brakes
and suspension to go with a much enhanced motor. i have used gsxr1100
wheels , ohlins rear shocks, race tech gold valves in forks, gsxr1000
six spotters, braided lines & ebc pads. i made my own pipe with
stainless headers & mild can with stainless end cap and baffle. 36mm
keihins feed a ported head with oversize valves that i found on ebay.
goes really hard ,a definite keeper.
cheers gyro
