    Clutch

    Hi guys,

I have been trying to adjust my clutch, but I'm not sure that it is fully disengaging when I pull the clutchlever. I have adjusted it so that there is very little play in the lever. When I turn the wheel by hand in neutral the wheel turns easily. When I engage first and pull the clutch the wheel needs more force. I can here it turning something in the motor (which I can't in neutral). It's not the pistons, but it does have more drag.

Is this normal? Should disengaging the clutch make the wheel turn as easy as in neutral? On centerstand with the engine running in first the wheel doesn't turn at all with the clutchlever pulled in (So it can't be dragging all that much).

Sounds normal. With the clutch pulled in the clutch drive plates still turn, only they are not clamped to the driven plates. Oil between the plates will cause drag which is the resistance you are feeling. I'd try the bike on the road before worrying. Oh, and go back and adjust the cable so you have a little freeplay at the lever.

Thx for this I have tried it on the road. It runs fine, I just wanted to check that it was normal. I do have a little play (2-3 mm) before that rod engages.
