    Header pipe color/jetting?

What does your header pipe color say about your jetting or engine state of tune? Still chrome (no coloring )=?, Blue=?, Gold=?

In starting my bike with new exhaust the header pipe is turning gold---? What this means I don't know.

Probably means you need to jet it a little bit richer.

For V&H headers gold seems to be the norm.

+1 on the gold, although your best bet is to keep an eye on the plugs for color.

Aye, Single wall pipes will colour a bit no matter what really. Unless youve got it running so cool that you're sooting up your plugs.
A lil gold tinge is ok on the headers.. but I also suggest reading your plugs!

Yeah I haven't done any runs on the street yet. I just finished this bike from a total rebuild and have yet to get it off the lift. Hopefully this weeked I will run it and do some plug checks.
