Advice fitting new chain gs450t split link type
Hi, my 450 is hard tailed so I cannot remove swing arm, I have to reduce size of my new chain to required length, I have never fitted a cain before, do I fit it in a slack position, or tight position???? help, before I make a silly mistake. Darren.Tags: None

You don't need much slack on a bike were the swingarm won't move. I'd make it as tight as possible as long as it's not under static tension.Ed
To measure is to know.

Thanks guys, do I set my rear wheel fully forward or about in middle of adjustment (when measuring chain), so I have room for tensioning chain but enough adjustment to be able to remove chain from rear sproket for maintainance??
