    clutch noise low rpm

I'm interested what a clutch noise may be that only occurs at low rpm, like idle or less. It's a rattle kind of noise. This is on an 82 1100E.

    Thanks,
    Nick

    That's the infamous clutch rattle.

If it's rattling because the hub nut has failed or is coming loose, it needs to be fixed.
The other cause is loose springs in the back of the basket, which can be rebuilt professionally. There are a couple of ghetto fixes too.

Pull the clutch cover to see what's going on.

starter clutches rattle at idle and goes away when you bring the RPM's up.
the noise also moves around through out the engine.
1100/1150's won't tolerate loose baskets..i'm sure you've read my other post on the topic.

The PC term is Shadetree engineered LOL.

My bike just happened to have a loose clutch hub nut... you can go oem or an APE billet unit.
