    Leaking oil

I feel like I sound like a broken record, but I've got another problem. When I got the bike the oil drain plug/oil pan was stripped. So, I replaced the oil pan (ebay), plug and gasket. Put a quart in her just to see how things went and now I'm getting some dripping from the front of the pan (towards the front end). I just want to know if this slow leak is normal, or expected for a while after gasket replacement,or do I have a bad gasket, or worse, a bad replacement oil pan. I'm finding that there is a reason for getting a bike "you fix it, you can have it."

Check the filter cap and o-ring. They're a pain to get on and can leak like you're describing.

A leaking pan is not normal. Did you strip out any of the screws in the case? It's easy to do.

        oil leak

No I didn't strip anything. Guess I'm going to have to drain all the oil and start the process of elimination again. One day, this 750 will be on the road. But, no time soon. Luckily I've got a daily commuter bobber that keeps me on the road. Thanks.
