Gasket sealer on the base gasket?

Pulled the engine out of the GS1000 to replace a failed Vesra base gasket. I used Gaskasinch on the gasket when the engine was re-assembled. It appeared the gasket was chemically attacked and swelled or expanded in all directions. gasket was humped up between the cylinder liners and was actually starting to work up the walls of the liners. The failure was the gasket squeezing out at one of the oil passage ears on the back side of the cylinder. The Vesra gasket was a black or dark gray material, the new OEM Suzuki gasket is a tannish orange color, completely different material.
What gasket adhesive / sealer are you guys using, if any, on OEM Suzuki base gaskets.
I don't want to re-do this job anytime soon.

    Just use the gasket dry.

And if you DON'T want to keep replacing them, use only SUZUKI gaskets! Ray.

Lesson learned the hard way here, the one time I stray from OEM, I get burnt

Make sure you replace those oblong O-rings with OE too.
