    Sidestand spring went bye-bye

I forgot to put up the side-stand up a few too many times and today when i did it again I found the side stand was swinging back and forth, spring was lost. I rode home with one leg holding up the stand (it is really fun trying to shift like that). Later I went back and luckily found the spring! So I am trying to remember how this goes together. Maybe I should jiust look at the fiche but maybe someone here can look at these pics and see if I am missing something?

I think you have a bit of an oil drip too

Spring just goes from that "knob" 3rd picture to the "knob" on the sidestand that you can just about see in your 1st & 2nd pics.

Which end of the spring goes on which end? I am not in front of the bike right now!

      Thanks!

The long end goes on the stand, the short end goes on the frame.

Oh, yeah, she is seeping a little bit. But I have never cleaned the bottom of the bike since I got her about 12,000 miles ago!

Winter was supposed to be time for that but instead I was replacing borken stuff. :-(
