Remote Oil Filter, or Oil Cooler on a 450?

Has anyone ever attempted to mod the 450/435/400 with a remote oil filter or run lines for a cooler? Just curious..

Personally I don't think the oil system could handle the extra flow required

      What "extra flow"?

Seems to me that the flow would be the same, it would just go in a different direction.

Once the filter is filled (just like our stock filters), the system won't know there is any difference.

        agreed

It would just hold more oil in the system. The way I understand it it more oil = better cooling anyway. The distance from the filter adapter to the oil sump would offer a small measure of cooling. Now, a dedicated oil cooler would be something else. Not sure about pressures involved.

As long as the passages in the cooler were not more restrictive than the stock oil passages in the engine
(few, if any, of the are), pressure won't change, either. It's just a longer path through which the oil flows.
