Spun rod bearing on spare crank, Reusable?

This might be a no brainer but what would you do.

I have a spare engine with spun rod bearing.

I'm wondering what would be required to make this crank reusable if I were to ever need it.

    thanks
    Stephen.

Take it out of cases and send it out to Falcon, or some other reputable crankshaft re builder and have them evaluate it. Some here don't like Falcon but I have had good luck with them.

Sounds expensive. How about a good used crank?

Finding a good used crank is getting harder these days and I have this one just laying around.

I don't have any use for it at the moment but I always wondered if it would be something worth fixing just to have as a spare.

I bought the whole engine for $30 and it has served me well for parts

Nine times out of ten when a Suzuki spins a rod bearing the crank will fail a crack test..Suzuki use a nitrided finish which doesn't like the very high surface temps caused when the bearing picks up.
          That's my experience anyway.
