Great story and nice bike. You're lucky to have a Dad like that.

She's for sure a real beauty. Looks as good as the day it came from the factory.

Very nice bike. The yellow was original? It seems an ideal colour for a commuter city bike, merging on ramps and being vulnerable in intersections and the like....

I agree with the others, a nice clean twin GS with classic lines. Well done. I recognize those handlebars. I had bars like those on an XS650 Special. The thumbs forward position seems odd at first but quickly become natural.

Hey thanks everybody. Sorry it's taken me so long to reply to this. The yellow wasn't original, my dad had it painted, sorry if I left that out. It's an awesome little bike and I'm happy to have it. I love the fact that it turns heads the way it does. Just finished a 1983 GS750T that was also given to me just last summer. The guy just wanted it gone.
