    Suzuki xn85 turbo

Who here has one or has had one , i have a line on one and want

to know a little about it, i know parts are hard to come by,Brian

    #2
    Brian,

I don't have one, but I have 2 friends that do

Don't buy one that's not complete, because parts are impossible to find and just about every part is specific to that bike

    1978 GS 1000 (since new)
1979 GS 1000 (The Fridge, superbike replica project)
    1978 GS 1000 (parts)
    1981 GS 850 (anyone want a project?)
    1981 GPZ 550 (backroad screamer)
    1970 450 Mk IIID (THUMP!)
    2007 DRz 400S
    1999 ATK 490ES
    1994 DR 350SES

They are cool in their "rarity" but they are TURDS performance wise! Ray.

Wow - if you can buy one for $2500 that is original, complete, and running - that is a great price. And I don't think I've ever seen any other paint scheme than silver....

Maybe not quarter mile killers, but the 650 is one of the smoothest engines Suzuki ever made, and a lighter bike overall.

Not sure about 650 being overly smooth, they are often noted has have a harmonic vibrational zone right in the common highway cruising rpms. 850's are the engines that seem smoothest. Regardless though, a turbo Suzuki would be a nice pickup.

I know of one website, not a forum though:

They were all silver but I can imagine it would look nice painted black. Post pics when you get a chance!

And if you do repaint it back to original, decal sets are available from a few sources. Here's one: http://www.xn85turbo.com/suzuki_xn85_decal_set.htm
