    New toy.

I'm really looking forward to diving into this one!! 32000kms but will need a carb rebuild, fork seals, etc.... Much more comfortable riding position than my 1150ef.

I'm a little confused. My chart shows the 1150ef and 1150es both being made in '84 and '85. I know E is the 1984 year code and F is '85.

What are the differences between ef and es?
1982 GS1100E V&H "SS" exhaust, APE pods, 1150 oil cooler, 140 speedo, 99.3 rear wheel HP, black engine, '83 red

2016 XL883L sigpic Two-tone blue and white. Almost 42 hp! Status: destroyed, now owned by the insurance company. The hole in my memory starts an hour before the accident and ends 24 hours after.

      Hey Rob,

      E (unfaired)
      ES (1/2 fairing)
      EF (fully faired)

add the year code and you get

      ED ('83)
      ESD
      EFD
      '83 GS650G
'83 GS550es (didn't like the colours in the 80's, but they've grown on me)

Is that the one that was for sale on this side of the Georgia Strait?

I saw the bike in the flesh today. Mark you did very well! Nice clean, solid original bike you have there, that's all stock and low kms to boot! Just needs a little lovin and it sounds you have that covered.
            Congrats again!!

Good luck, and nice looking ride. Agreed on the dumb es handledars. I changed mine.

Looking good! What kind of seat is that? When you get some decent seat time could you please report back on how it feels? My stocker is getting a bit sacked out near the gas tank.....

The seat is just a reupholstered stocker with new foam. I'm just a little worried that it might push me into the tank a little more than the stock one I replaced.

Sure looks nice and tidy. It must just be me but that bike looks a little more stretched than the typical 1150, not sure why. I'll keep an eye out for you on the roads.
