    linked pictures gone from threads

Hey, just notice all the pics id posted here through Postimage.org no longer display.

I had a quick look around to see if there were any changes on the forum and cant see anything... postimage doesnt seem to have made any changes.

couple of test pics below looks like i can link new ones.....does that mean all the old links in my threads have been removed??

Probably an issue with the image host.
Not sure about the host you used, but Photobucket f'd over half of the Internet.

I can see your test pics.

Thanks DB, Yeh I use postimage, not photobucket...

I had heaps of linked pics in my build thread, all not showing up now, all linked the same way as the test pics above.
      So I don't think it's the host...

There is something wrong on your hosting sites end. I checked some of the photo addresses and an error comes up when trying to open.

The pics of the 1150 I just posted yesterday are gone also. They were PB, but the enlarged pics were staying. I guess they figured how to block copy and paste pics also.

We'll see how long this one lasts.

Thanks for checking Ed, seem strange as the links are still working on another forum I posted them on.
and the two pics I posted above are linked exactly the same way.
i emailed postimage.org and they insist no change business as usual, so I dunno what's happened.

The build thread was at an end anyway, I just thought it may be useful to some readers making similar mods. But I posted too many pics to go back and edit all the posts. I'll just let that thread die.

I can see the originals you posted in this thread. I know I host a lot of photos on Facebook because it's easy. I'm not sure if they routinely change the links to photos on FB's end or not but after a few days to a few weeks the img links are dead. Usually by that point I don't care but it can be annoying.

As for photobucket (I know that's not who you are using) if you are a Google Chrome user you can download a plug-in that bypasses whatever it is that they did and will show old pictures on the site you are looking at. I've got it installed on my browser and it's seamless. I can now view photos in old tech threads and trip reports.
