    Wheel question for gs1100e swingarm

I’m looking for other wheel alternatives for my gs1100e swingarm. I’ve got a 150 tire but the 17x2.5 inch rim is way too small to mount that. Is there other wheels I can drop in without modifications? Would also like to to keep with 17 inch wheel. Thanks

Which year 1100? 1150s have a 3.5" rim, but the pattern wont match if your bike is a pre 83 - if you care about matching that is.

Add....You may want to repost this in the appropriate section.

When consulting the magic 8 ball for advice, one must first ask it "will your answers be accurate?"

I believe the swing arm is 82? It has the x pattern in the swing arm itself. The bike is a 79 gs1000. I’ll buy matching rims if I have too. Also, sorry I’m new so I’m not sure where to post this. Just seen q&a and thought that’s where it goes haha!

Search in the Suspension forum (where this question belongs) and you will find dozens of posts about this. A 4.5" wide wheel will fit with no trouble, I think a 5.5" wheel can be made to work with some tweaking.
