    It Figures ..

After a lot of tinkering and adjusting and trial and error and some $$ -
I have the GS850GL running so well all I wanna do is ride -

Last night we had our first freeze -

The weather has been terrible - cold/rain/total ****e
The days are short - the dark is long - the animals are getting stupid (rut season for the deer)
So my riding days for this year are sadly numbered very short -
Looking back at this year - Spring was incredibly wet - with many days of rain - and September it rained nearly every day in my area with accumulations of nearly double the average - April & May were like this in the Spring so my season was effectively 3 months long

Yep -- this is a total whine thread -

Beware 2019 -- I am gonna ride the wheels off that 850 !

See ya'll in Brown County (I pray)

OK, Carl, go ahead and switch over to riding the Wing.

    It's expendable.

BUT --- the GS is so much fun

However - the Wing has better wind blocking with lowers and wider and higher windscreen -
AND electric hook up on an automotive style alternator (although my new R & R and Stator could probably do it)
for my electric jacket and gloves - I gotta ride the Wing once in a while -

When first I got the GS it was to keep the miles low on the Wing - Now I think it may be the other way around...

I can commiserate with you about the weather.
Although can ride a lot in 50s or high 40s, it seems like even those days are getting less frequent.
(has been about 15 degF less than average here the last few days and next week.)

Good to hear of your success and your enthusiasm for the 850.

It's just starting to get to the good riding season here (days under 95,) so I feel your pain. I'm looking forward to venturing out further and further (not on the VMax, though. I'd get tired of stopping for gas.)

Nice ride home though. Nice out down here. Still chilly, but sunny.

Fuel injection on the 1800 -- started right up

But I DID ride the 850 last night (and yes I had to prime the carbs)-It was cold but a lot of fun running around for 30 miles

The Wing is a might fine ride - but there is something guttural about the 'primitive' nature of the in-line 4 when it humms it's high rev song...

Got a little ride in last night --
Used my new Go Pro Hero 6 Black as well to record some of it .
I like he speedo it adds and the road layout from the GPS enabled in the unit.
I had a blast riding around at above posted limits...
