    Fixing Small Hole In Muffler

I have a small (dime size) hole developing in the bottom of one of my mufflers. What is the best way to fix this hole? I have heard that JB Weld will do it but I have never tried it. Does anyone know the best method?
    Thanks, Terry South

Cut a piece of steel as a patch and have it brazed on rather than have it electric welded on. This should solve the problem

I've used JB Weld for about everything, but have not had satisfactory results using it on exhaust systems, especially motorcycles. Try what Dinks Wife said.

        Hole in exhaust

I had a much larger hole (3" x 4") repaired by a professional welding shop using a mig or tig welder. They did a nice clean job; no excess weld / slag dripping off anywhere. He charged $25 for the job.

There are also 'filler rods' that can braise fill this size hole...if you can find the right torch.
