    Rectifier

Instead of spending the big bucks at a dealer for a new rectifier, I bought an industrial one for $3.50. It will handle alot more voltage and a higher spike then it can possibly ever see. Works great!
    Just a suggestion,
    Josh

    Rectifier?

Would it be possible to provide a part number and vendor? Just in case we might actually want to try this mod!

        Industrial rectifiers

Yes a lot of electrical components can be substituted for whats in your bike, but as I just looked up in my service manual for my 84 1150 ES, my rectifier is integrated with the voltage regulator. With someone who can read schematics easily by your side you can substitute with so called industrial components that far exceed ratings of factory stuff, making your electrical system bulletproof.
