    Fender Elimination ??

does anyone have any suggestions for creating a "Fender Eliminator" for lets say.... a 1981 GS1000GL ??....the what basically needs to be accomplished is the removal of the Chrome Rear fender and make a Piece out of Sheet metal or Lexan....or pehaps a Rear Cowling from a late 70's model Kawasaki KZ1000 .... I want to enshroud the brake light with this "Piece" and have Lockhart Short Stem Turn Signals mounted to the side of this piece...... Anyone have any suggestion, Drawings, Pics or other info on a Cool way to do this ??...Thanks in advance.... Robb

Robb, I've given a great deal of thought to just this very subject - Have you looked into an aftermarket bobtail fender?? like the ones you see on the early intruders (or Hardlies) - the tail light could be mounted up inside the rear lip of the fender and the signals would be just outside the fender mounts ... just a thought 8)
