    Modern forks on a 78, GS 750

Can anyone tell me what modern forks will fit best onto a 78 GS 750?
I also would like to put an alloy swinging arm on,whats the easiest to fit?
What about mono shocks, how hard are they to do?

Check the Performance Mods section for threads by Swanny and Gerry. you'll find just about everything you need to know. If not one of use can tell you. You need to make sure you have tapered steering head bearings for starters.

I would think that the main problem in fitting a mono shock to a fomerly twin-shock machine is one of space. Besides fabricating attachment points on the frame, you have to find sufficient room between the engine and rear wheel. Suzuki accomplished this on the 1983 GS750 by completely redesigning the engine (from the previous 750 engine) and shortening it substantially. Changing the swinging arm is one thing, converting to a mono- from a twin-shock design is another.

i`d weld shock brakets to the swing arm and forget about the mono thingy.
