Stage 3 to rich for my 82 1100E

    Hello fellow Suzuki'eeeeeeeeeeeeeees

Well installed the K&N stage 3 jets (138's) last week and last night at the track the bike could bearly break into the 7's. Normally it runs in the 7.50's in the 1/8 mile. The bike would launch ok but as you get to redline the motor would bogg down until you back off the throttle. The old jets that were removed look like they are (114's) but there is no markings at all. So I install the K&N (114's) jets and hope to get back to the track soon to see what happens. The bike is a stock 82 1100EZ with K&N pod filters and a Kerker 4 into 1 open end exhaust. I guess the bike is not a mildy tuned machine after all.

stage 3 is too rich for stock engine, needs cams and head work. Stage one is for pipe, pods modifications

Just curious.I thought K&N and Dynojet use the same "stage 1,stage 3"designations to identify what kind of motors they re-jet best.Because with Dynojet, the stage 1 is to replace the stock jetting and is to be used in a stock motor. The stage 3 is for a 4-1 pipe and pod filters.I thought K&N is the same.
And on the seventh day, after resting from all that he had done,God went for a ride on his GS!
Upon seeing that it was good, he went out again on his ZX14! But just a little bit faster!
