    Help too tall

    I got my wife a 1982 GS650G to ride. She loves riding it but it is a little to tall can i lower it and how to do so thanks for any help biker

    if its a chain drive and doesnt have disk brakes on ther back then possibly you can find lowering blocks. The best and safest lowering is done by replacing the shocks. Im not sure about the chain drive statement.

      A GS650G is a shaft drive, Scotty, with rear disc brake. If it's an "L" model, it's already a pretty low bike as it sits. I agree that a different set of shocks would be the best way to lower it; also, cutting foam off the seat, with its obvious comfort consequence.
