Congratulations on getting the katana and welcome to the gang. I would not worry about the english, it is perfectly clear. Besides, your english is 1000
times better than my dutch. :-) :-)

G'day and welcome, glad to hear of another GS ressurected, may I suggest a thorough carb clean the bike sounds great until the revs fall, so pay particular attention to the choke circuit and the idle circuit and progression holes.

Welcome to the GSR. That bike looks totally restorable to me.
It should prove to be a sweet ride when done. The engine sounds
healthy. The previous owner who tarped it for 3 years should be
        whipped with a rubber hose

        Success to you!

are you that guy? i guess so, thanks for telling me about this nice forum ,
because at the other forum, they did'nt think it was worth it to fix it

-my first question, is any battery 12V good for this bike?
or does it has to be a suzuki gs battery?

Any 12 volt motorcycle battery that is the right physical size and cca will work fine.

Looks like you'll have runner pretty soon.

Don't worry about your English. I think Simon speaks it but I just speak 'merican poorly so it doesn't really matter.
